The exercise sessions typically last one to one and a half hours and are held three days a week for 12 weeks or 36 sessions. This program is indicated for patients that are recovering from a:
- Recent heart attack (MI)
- Coronary Bypass Surgery
- Stable Angina Angioplasty (PTCA) / Stent
- Heart Failure
- Heart Transplant
- Valve Repair/Replacement
- Recent cardiac diagnosis requiring telemetry monitoring
PHASE III = Phase III cardiac rehabilitation is an independent exercise program with daily staff review that is medically supervised by ACLS trained exercise physiologists and RN’s.
Phase III programs -- which are held four days a week for an open-ended period of time -- also focus on individualized exercise progression and goal setting and monitoring of resting and exercise vital signs.
This phase is appropriate for all individuals that are interested in decreasing their risk factors and implementing a healthy lifestyle.
